In the process of blogging about guitars and gear, I discovered eBay Stores and merchants who sell more than just the ordinary products we see at the local Guitar Center or the big name online music stores. I started promoting many of those stores at my blog, as an eBay affiliate. GuitarGearStores.com is an expansion of that idea. Yeah, it's a business for me-- I make a whole 2.5% of eBay's 5% product listing fee, which pretty much makes me filthy rich.
Otherwise, it's a chance to build a little web store that links visitors to gourmet guitar products they may not normally see. As a guitar player, finding cool guitar stuff has always been interesting. Sharing it with others is fun too.
This store uses a script which displays eBay product listings in the category pages, but I also look for eBay Stores and provide content info. and links to them. For safety and customer satisfaction, I recommend eBay Stores over private item listings. Many eBay Stores sellers run established storefront businesses in addition to an eBay Stores site.
